As a Linux Engineer on the infrastructure team, you will design, implement, and maintain the high-performance Linux environments that power trading systems and research platform. You'll be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of the Linux infrastructure while working closely with trading technologists, researchers, and developers to meet the exacting demands of low-latency trading and data-intensive research workloads.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain high-performance Linux environments optimized for low latency trading applications
Build and manage the kernel configurations, network stack tuning, and system optimizations required for nanosecond-level performance
Requirements
5+ years of hands-on experience administering Linux systems in high-performance environments
Deep understanding of Linux kernel internals, system tuning, and performance optimization
Experience with modern Linux distributions (CentOS/RHEL, Ubuntu) and their packaging systems
Proficiency in Python for automation and tooling development
Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and tuning for low-latency applications
Experience with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
Understanding of modern containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of FPGA, kernel bypass technologies, or specialized networking hardware
Experience with high-performance computing environments or distributed systems
Experience with real-time or specialized Linux kernel variants
